Just "Chicken" In

How are you? Any summer plans?

I am so happy that I splurged and purchased the limited time Farm Fresh Kit from Taylored Expressions
This chicken is my favorite in the kit with the piggy coming into a close second. I gave the chick a "wobble" head thanks to the mini wobbles that were included in the kit. I already had a ton of wobbles in my stash but they are just to big most projects so they just don't get used. I don't know that these are are still available, but it's worth checking out.

For this card the grass is the included Gingham Checker background stamp. I stamped it using MFT's Extreme Black and then used my TE Blender Brushes to apply Distress Oxide Bundled Sage over the stamped image. I then used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside dies to cut the image.   The clouds were done using MFT's Cloud Stencil and once again my TE Blender Brushes to apply Distress Oxide Broken China and Tumbled Glass.  I stamped the barn from the kit and colored it using Copic Marker colors R17, R14, E07, E00 and Y26. I then cut it out by hand as no die was included for the barn. A die for the barn is the one piece I wish they had thought to include.  I tucked the barn back behind the grass layer so that it would appear to be further back on the hillside. Next time I will plan better and stamp the barn image first then mask it allowing me to complete the project without having to cut it out. The fence was also stamped and die cut but I didn't like how there was white left behind in between the posts of the fence, so I used my craft knife to cut it away so that the grass and barn could be seen. Overall I think it came out adorable, I can't wait to create more using the other images in the kit.

You're The Man

I had a few minutes tonight and used it to put together this quick card. The stamps used for this card are from MFT set   BB Old Friends .

Panda and Fox

A very talented young lady is approaching her first double digit birthday!  Undecided on what to do for a card I started digging though my stamp collection I came across Unity's Sweet Panda Friend . This young lady has requested stuffed animals for her big day, so I felt it would work perfectly.   I stamped and heat embossed the panda in the middle of card and then stamped out a second image on a sticky note. The image on the sticky note was fussy cut and used to mask the panda on the card front.   In addition to masking the panda I also took a piece of washi tape and ran it down both sides of the card, to mask that area.  Once I completed masking I used Taylored Expressions Gifted Background stamp to build out the background image of gifts.  The last stamp used on the card front is from Jaded Blossoms Hello Hello stamp set.  I purchased this stamp set a couple years back and just noticed today as I went to get the link for you that it is on sale at 70% off so it may be on it'

Introducing Holiday Dangles!

Wear a pop of color and flare to your next holiday event and let your ears do the talking! These gorgeous dangles will bring fun to any outfit. Do you have that favorite ugly sweater or maybe you are crafty and make your own each year for those special gatherings, the tinsel dangles would be a perfect accessory.   It's been fun making these dangles and I intend to make and sell more. They are simple to make once you have the right tools on hand. Some makers cut out their designs by hand, while others use electric cutting machines such as a Cameo or Cricket or cutting dies.  These particular earrings were made with cutting dies and leathers purchased through  https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/shop/designer-dangles . I have the ability to create using a Cameo or Scan N Cut, but I prefer the cleaner cuts I get using dies such as those found at TE.
